THE KAUFFMAN GALLERY
The Kauffman Gallery of Shippensburg University hopes to advance the creation and understanding of art and its uniquely vital contribution to society. In our efforts we wish to expand public understanding and appreciation of art. Hopefully this exposure to the visual arts ultimately engages students, academics, and the public in dialogues which advance creativity and intellectual freedom in our culture.

PROTEUS
For more than two decades, Proteus has fulfilled a vision for a journal that would communicate to alumni, students, faculty members, and the larger academic world that SU and its surrounding community are centers for cultural and scientific innovation and hubs for dialogue on the pressing issues of our time.  Each issue explores a different topic, chosen to encourage as many high quality submissions as possible. Scholarly articles are combined with personal essays, artwork, and photography. As is the case with many journals and newspapers, new technologies and rising printing costs have posed new challenges for the journal. Your support is needed to make the transition from a print to a web-based journal and to continue to bring our nation’s most celebrated thinkers and writers to Shippensburg University. In collaboration with Proteus: A Journal of Ideas, Shippensburg University also features a Proteus Lecture Series.
