The Shippensburg University Foundation was established as a private, non-profit organization in 1977 specifically to increase private gift support for the benefit of Shippensburg University. Since its inception, the SU Foundation has been committed to establishing the best possible relationship with its benefactors based on trust by operating with the highest ethical standards and providing excellent performance.
The SU Foundation has a duty to protect the confidentiality of private, non-public donor information. Respect for a donor’s right to privacy is a basic standard of integrity for all Foundation activities.
As a guiding principle, the SU Foundation supports the Donor Bill of Rights policy developed by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, the American Association of Fund-Raising Counsel, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and the National Society of Fund Raising Executives.
To maintain contact with alumni, parents and friends of the University, the SU Foundation manages a website, www.sufoundation.org. General usage and non-personally identifiable information is tracked to evaluate the effectiveness of our website. If you elect to provide us with your contact information, such as a change of name or address, or when you are making a gift, the SU Foundation will securely record that information for administrative purposes only. The SU Foundation does not sell or distribute any donor information to individuals or organizations outside Shippensburg University.
If you choose to make a gift though the website, the online giving page is a secure page that encrypts your private information, including credit card numbers, for your protection. The SU Foundation does not collect that information. This is a service provided to the SU Foundation by Blackbaud, Inc.
